meet "dilly"

Hello, my name is Dilly.
I was finally named and revamped today.

She had a dodgy eye and no clothes, but was/is a very close "2nd place" to her very loved bunny that is MIA at the moment.
Gretta has been begging me for ages to make her some clothes.
It felt good to take 15 minutes to make this cute little dress for her.  And to indulge my child in something that she was so very excited for.
I will have to indulge all of them a little more from now on.  I've been a bit stingy with my time being caught up with bookwork/accountants/banks/chooks/eggs/marketing/home renno planning/flu.
It felt really good.

Have a happy day. Glad our fam and friends are okay in NZ. xx

my creative space

a very special little something that has been on my mind to get done
for one VERY EXTREMELY adorable little cherub
that lives far away in Queensland.

In the mail to her momma today in hopes it might be useful for her Christening.
Oh how I wish I could be there to try and hog that little morsel of ringlet curls and chubby cheeks away from everyone else on the day.

This was my very first "creative space" from Kootoyoo!
Pop over to her for some more creative space goodness.

Have a happy day.

Projects

I whipped up these skirts for 2 special little friends in town. They're actually late Chrissy presents. The pink one is for Isobel - Gretta's mate - she's a beautiful little blondie and will look fab in it. The second one is for Elsie - Baxters mate - especially for her to wear with her blue polkadot Walnut shoes.

This was my best friend's daughter, Ali's 2nd birthday pressie.  The background fabric was a special little wrap that she had as a dress when a baby, and the birdies are taken from one of her little jumpers she had when she was a baby (I love meaningful repurposing!)  Ali has the most divine hair in the world, so she obviously needed a hairclip board for her bling.

Chrissy preparations...

My current project for my Monty Boy. Stay tuned..

Baxter and Gretta got stuck into making Chrissy paper chains. Baxter really loved the project - and did a long chain on his own. Gretta was a bit more sporatic and did a lot of dancing inbetween sticky taping sessions.

I've been in a bit of a rut at the moment. I'm keen to do projects, but I'm unable to. There's always something shoving a curly one in. I am feeling anxious and uneasy. My back is out and my rowing machine is a bit lifeless for the last 3 days - which does my head in as well. Monty has been a bit fussy and needy, and I think my uneasyness has rubbed off on the other two.
Maybe I need to just give up on it all and go with the flow?
Any suggestions?
