birth stories...

Just caught up with a friend that had an amazing birth last weekend - welcome to the world little Jagger! She is so proud and wants to shout it from the rooftops - just like I did after giving birth to my Monty. And we got to talking about how we need to SHARE our amazing birth stories so that other women might have some sort of hope of having a peaceful, blissfull birth that is not centred around FEAR.
I have not written my birth stories - the first two were not so great, but I feel compelled to write all of them now - even tho the B&G's are getting hazy. So... watch this space. I'll share one day soon.
And be sure to have your socks on tightly when I tell you about Monty's, because it might just try to knock them off!

fashionista fairy floss

Tell me WHO could possibly be angry with this child? I am sometimes, but it doesn't last long. I just wish I could get away with her incredible fashion sense.

goodbye nana

Rest in Peace, Nana Moyle. We relish in the thought that you are back with the love of your life. xx

Impatiently waiting

I am finding parenting incredibly chalenging today. And for the better part of yesterday when I was really making an effort to be present to where they were.
They are both having a tantrum on the steps because I wanted them to have outside time. Am I asking them to conform too much? Or are they just being brats?
I am so desperate to move somewhere that entices them (and me!) outside to be in the guts of life. My patience is running thin being stuck in the heat and dust and burrs and wasps and snakes and dull landscape and 6 days by spaceship from anything.
If I wasn't feeding Monty I think I'd be drinking by now!

Presence

These kids have had a lot of presents lateley but not much presence from their mommy.  Days with a lot of getting away without manners, etc. while Grandma Jo and Pa were visiting have compounded and we are now retrieving our children from the depths of naughtiness!

I am attempting an entire day filled with presence for these little ones.

We started this morning with a "porridge picinic"

.... off to get some paints ready for a painting marathon!!

Home again..

hmmm. Typing with Monty laying across my arms.. Lets see if this works!

Just back from the coast. Had a lovely visit with my parents and a very short visit with Nic's. We are all hoping that Nana Moyle is able to slip away peacefully when she can.

I have a bit of make-up work to do with the 2 big rat bags - getting away with a lot while grandparents are here has left a bit to be desired!

Was lovely at Currumbin again. Brought back fond memories of our time there while we waited for Monty boy.  It was really like coming home to our holiday spot! Also found a few treasures at Eumundi while we were there.

The little miss is apparently exactly like her mother - full of attitude!!

Roma Sale - Parents - Beach

Ahhh - been away at Roma for our 1st Bull Sale there.  Went well - glad I had Mom and Dad to help a little with the kiddos - bidding for bulls with a toddler, infant, and 3 year old on your lap isn't an easy task! Nic did well putting together the sale - hope for some more buyers next year! Gretta told off the agent when he was taking bids. Too funny.  She also had a few scoffing words for the bulls if they looked at her. Off to soak in the sun at the beach and farewell my parents next week - shall return with the inlaws and hopefully with some rest! (Shouldn't complain - my 12 week old baby is sleeping thru to 4 or 5 every night now!)

Well hello there.

Holy Crap - here I go with a blog! Like I need to do this with 2 toddlers and a 10 week old baby... but... that's life - this is my life, so.....

Hello, my name is Amy.
