As we muddle thru the warm and hot days of summer, I find it hard to remember what it was like in the winter-time at my hometown in California.
Then my Ma reminds me...
that's my dad!

This is nothing! We have at least 2 feet of snow now at home, and Dad says there is 4 feet at the shop. And it's still snowing!
So true - Im sweltering in 40 degrees and I ring my folks in the UK to whinge (whinging comes quite naturally to me as I am a pomme) only to find they are buried beneath a snow drift - its hard for each of us to get in each other's head space.
Keep cool out there in the outback.
