really really ready to get to the farm.

Our freshly painted flame red mailbox is now out on the road over at the farm.
Beats the pants off the old drench drum!

The farmhouse will be empty after this weekend
- ready for some brightening up and the Paul family to get there.

It has been wonderful being able to live in our friend's house for the last 6 months, but will be really good to complete the picture by living there finally!

Let alone being able to nip out to check calving cows, nip out to shut the chooks away, nip out to take daddy a cuppa in the shed, etc. etc. etc. etc.  The list is a mile long....

and... to finally make our family home permanent... as we've been on a "let's just go there temporarily" thing for a few YEARS while we've been waiting for the planets to align for us to have found our new home, doing something that we believe in wholeheartedly and are passionate about. Hurrah!

I'm ready to trade in my gumboots for my Birkenstocks. Hopefully it decides to warm up soon so that I can live in my beautiful German shoes for another summer.

I guess the garden is deciding that it is spring anyway!......

Have a happy day.
P.S. It is my Grandparent's 63rd Wedding Anniversary today.  Happy Anniversary Grandma & Grandpa.
xx

Congrats to your grandparents, that's fantastic.
I love the new mailbox, it's a bit fancier than ours!! Good luck for the coming weeks, looking forward to seeing some photos of your new home, love Kate.

Sorry, there is no tutorial - just grab an extra 5 minutes while the kids won't bump your arm and paint by dot's the words you want!... xx

Ok first of all wow 63 years!!!
Now, that mailbox is freaking awesome! I love the little birdie and the dotted lettering, well done you. Ruby Hills Organic is a great name, I am trying to think up a name for our new home (the farm we are moving onto doesn't have a name) but think I need to live there first to become inspired.
The garden where you are is quite nice from what I can remember :) Bring on spring!

You always inspire me Amy!!! I have a picture of our plain tin mailbox (with the previous people's name still on it!) in my mind's eye and think it's just not going to cut it...
I love the way you dream up new ideas and make simple things beautiful.xxx Mandy
